The company
Marketing teams spend $1.5 trillion a year on various channels and programs. And yet most of those capital allocation decisions are guided by gut feel, broken attribution, and backward-looking metrics.
Paramark helps them optimize spend across all their channels and programs. There are proven scientific ways to do this, but they are poorly understood and practiced by only a tiny fraction of teams. Companies waste millions on campaigns that don’t work, while failing to invest in critical long-term initiatives simply because they’re harder to measure. Most are sorely lacking in both measurement and experimentation capability.
We’re fixing this by creating a system of action that teams use to understand their impact, to forecast growth, and to experiment with new ideas. The opportunity is huge: 100k+ mid-market businesses worldwide, spending $1.5T on marketing annually, with a large chunk of that going to waste. Our target customer spends between $10M and $100M on marketing annually.
We founded the company in 2023 and have strong traction. Our customers include both consumer and business brands like Square, Chime, Ramp, Rippling, Speak, Toast, Cursor and many more. The business is already cash-flow-positive, and we’re investing the proceeds into our growth.
We work 3-5 days a week from our office in San Francisco. We truly believe the best results come from in-person collaboration, but we also want to strike the right balance and give everyone the flexibility they need to enjoy life outside of the office. We don’t believe work should consume life, and we also know that hard work is needed to scale a new business.
We’ve raised $8M from Greylock and several CXO-level advisors and angels from companies like OpenAI, Dropbox, Salesforce, Asana, and P&G.

The opportunity
Your team
The product team has four engineers (Hourann, Daniel, Jason, and Vanessa) and is managed by Pete.
We believe that the best teams are driven from the bottom up. We’re excited for how you will influence us.
Your role
Building software
You will own both the “what” and the “how” for your projects, and you will have the autonomy to make decisions and stay unblocked. You will be given a high level goal and be responsible for everything needed to make it happen.
You will build a complete understanding of the customer you are building for and the purpose of your work. This will allow you to own projects without needing others to dictate details.
Your work will be full-stack in nature, with a significant data science portion as well. You will be focused on providing a simple, elegant user experience for our customers.
You will work with us as we continue defining our tech stack. We are building a web application with a focus on data visualization and a backend service performing automated statistical analysis.
Building domain expertise
Over time you will build expertise in our two primary domains: data science and marketing.
You will work with our team to provide new data, insights, and recommendations for our customers about their marketing performance.
You will help us choose the statistical and machine learning methods we are using, learning their underlying capabilities, and improving them over time.
Contributing to product definition
For us, customer feedback is essential at every step of the way. You will influence what we build in addition to how we build it. You will seek out opportunities to learn more about our customers’ needs, and this will inform your product decisions.
You will define product requirements for your projects, making sure that we are building the right thing.
You
Your experience and skills
Full-stack engineer with at least 8 years of experience. You don’t need to have extensive experience in both frontend and backend, but you should have depth in one and some experience in the other.
Owning projects and making tradeoffs. You should have a track record of taking responsibility for delivery and shaping project direction.
Handling ambiguity. You should be skilled in making decisions with imperfect information.
Some familiarity with data science, statistics, machine learning, A/B testing, or experimentation. You don’t need to be a machine learning expert or a data scientist, but you should understand the basics of one of these fields. You’ll have time after joining to gain depth.
Influencing product decisions. You should have experience contributing to the product side of your work, such as defining, advocating for, or crafting delightful user experiences.
Your interests
Creating happy customers. Your choices will be guided by a passion to make our customers happy.
Creating a warm and welcoming company culture. Building a great product is only the beginning for us. We’re equally passionate about building a company that we still want to work at 10 years from now, and you will play a huge role in making this happen.
Contribute to our frontend, backend, and data stack. As an early engineer, your fingerprints will be all over each part of our tech stack. Your skills will fit some areas better than others, but you will grow with time.
Benefits
Many of us have kids, family lives, and health problems to manage. We don’t think early stage startup life requires 18 hour days, or even 12 hour days. We’re intent on building a different kind of culture, one that is truly sustainable. That means reasonable working hours, taking a break when we need it, and checking in with each other. Our Purpose, Mission, and Values guide us.
Simple Time off policy: all federal holidays plus 4 weeks of PTO per year. Health comes first, and everyone needs to take time off to recharge and rejuvenate.
Medical, dental, and vision insurance provided with 100% of employee premiums / 50% of family premiums covered. Relocation support up to $20k. Pre-tax commute & parking benefits.
