The company
Marketing teams spend $1.5 trillion a year on various channels and programs. And yet most of those capital allocation decisions are guided by gut feel, broken attribution, and backward-looking metrics.
Paramark helps them optimize spend across all their channels and programs. There are proven scientific ways to do this, but they are poorly understood and practiced by only a tiny fraction of teams. Companies waste millions on campaigns that don’t work, while failing to invest in critical long-term initiatives simply because they’re harder to measure. Most are sorely lacking in both measurement and experimentation capability.
We’re fixing this by creating a system of action that teams use to understand, to forecast the impact of their investments, and to experiment with new ideas. The opportunity is huge: 100k+ mid-market businesses worldwide, spending $1.5T on marketing annually, with a large chunk of that going to waste. Our target customer spends between $10M and $100M on Marketing annually.
We founded the company in 2023 and have strong traction. Our customers include both consumer and business brands like Square, Chime, Ramp, Rippling, Speak, Toast, Cursor and many more.
We work 3-5 days a week from our office in San Francisco. We truly believe the best results come from in-person collaboration, but we also want to strike the right balance and give everyone the flexibility they need to enjoy life outside of the office. Our existing team respects the need to not have work be your life, but understands the importance of scaling a new business in a collaborative environment.
We’ve raised $8M from Greylock and several CXO-level advisors and angels from companies like Open AI, Dropbox, Salesforce, Asana, and P&G.
Your team
The Paramark team is currently ~16 team members across Engineering (Product Engineering, Data Science and Solutions Engineering, Go-to-Market (Marketing and Sales) and Growth Advisory (Product + Customer). You would be part of the Growth Advisory team that owns the overall customer experience across both customer success and advisory and customer facing product.
Your role
Paramark is hiring a Growth Analyst to work at the intersection of rigorous data work and customer impact. The core responsibility of this role is to query, analyze, and surface insights from complex marketing datasets — supporting both our Growth Advisory team and working directly with customers to ensure their data is clean, structured, and ready for high-quality analysis. This role requires strong SQL skills, a sharp analytical mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Most analyst roles are backward-looking, just reporting on what already happened. This one is different. You'll work inside the decision itself, using marketing measurement methods (marketing mix modeling, incrementality testing) that many teams are still learning how to do. Do this job for 18 months and you'll be able to help any team implement and action on true incremental learnings. Our Senior Growth Advisors started exactly here.
What will this role involve?
Data Analysis & Insights: Query and analyze large marketing datasets from customers’ data warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, Snowflake) to surface actionable patterns and insights that inform strategic decisions.
Model Interpretation & Customer Communication: Translate outputs from our data science models (marketing mix models, incrementality tests) into clear narratives for customers, helping them understand what the results mean and what actions to take
Customer data collaboration. When a customer's spend data won't reconcile with their revenue, you're the one who figures out not only why, but also walks their data team through the fix and explains to their marketing lead what it means for the next budget call. You'll shadow calls, join data discussions, and become the person customers trust to tell them what's actually going on in their numbers.
Implementation Support: Assist in cleaning, normalizing, grouping, and refining customer data to enable the strategic insights our Growth Advisors deliver. Data comes to us in all shapes and sizes, and we need your help making it trustworthy.
Analytical Tooling & Documentation: Build and refine internal tools and processes that improve efficiency in how we handle data. Document data structures and methodologies to ensure continuity and clarity across the team.
Own data readiness for your accounts. You'll be the person who makes a customer's data trustworthy enough to model, and this is a must for delivering customer value. You'll run point on data questions and follow-ups for your book of accounts, working alongside senior advisors on the largest ones and taking the lead where you're ready.
Contributing to product definition: You will influence what we build. We believe that for what we’re building, customer feedback is essential at every step of the way. Based on your role and interactions with customers, you will have constant opportunities for customer research, and this will inform the product decisions the company will be making with a focus on customer data.
Success criteria
You’ll need a strong foundational understanding of data-driven decision making. Measuring what truly matters is half the battle. Knowing what matters is critical.
Demonstrated proficiency in SQL and analytical skills to query data from popular data warehouses (Biquery, Redshift, Databricks and Snowflake) is required. Familiarity with Python (e.g. Jupyter notebooks, Pandas) and data visualization platforms are a plus. You’ll sweat the details to ensure our data is complete and trustworthy. Familiarity with statistical modeling, marketing mix models, or causal inference methods is a strong plus. You won’t need to build models, but you’ll need to read model outputs, understand their assumptions, and communicate implications to customers.
You’ll guide customers who may not know what they need, and win over skeptical stakeholders with data-driven recommendations. Success requires calm, confident communication and precise project management and cross-functional leadership skills to influence and persuade.
Analytics, consulting, or banking experience are a plus. However, if you possess these skills without that background, we’d love to chat with you too.
